for CA201: Information Revolutions
Mass Media: the Third Revolution.

now, this is the revolution where, in a manner of speaking, it all started. since this is where things really began to look up. yes, the radio, printing press and television had started to develop or take shape in the previous revolutions, but as the name of the information revolution states, this is where such thing were available to the masses. yes, these were extremely primitive to what we have now, but at the time, it was all they had, it was all they knew, and it was all they could access. personally, i think this is one the more important information revolutions, if not the most important one, primarily because since it's available to the masses, the masses can then be more informed. yes, news wasn't even conceptualized yet, but still. in was a stepping stone to doing such things. but it wasn't just a stepping stone to the news, no, it was a stepping stone to much more. on of those being the media we see today, obviously.
